Qualcomm snapdragon (ARM) in PC World……Competition for Intel & AMD

Till today there are only two companies making the Processors for the Computers that are Intel and AMD. But now after a great success in the mobile processor manufacturing the QUALCOMM snapdragon (ARM) is trying to step in the PC World and provide the competition to the Intel &AMD.

The last attempt to enter the PC World named Windows RT with ARM chips was a flop due to the incompatibility with the x86 applications and the crippled shortage of software.

Steve Mollenkopf, CEO of Qualcomm has announced that they will be launching their new Qualcomm snapdragon processor based windows 10 laptop, ARM based snapdragon 835 this year.

Till only Intel and AMD was there for manufacturing of the processors. Basically Intel is the leading brand between these two because their processors are high end as compared to the AMD processor. The AMD processors have basically good graphics and high clock speed that makes it suitable for gaming. This is reason why you will find the AMD processors in all gaming PCs.

Now ARM snapdragon is going launch their new laptop with the new ARM QUALCOMM snapdragon processor consisting high speed connectivity, long battery life. High speed connectivity is by IEEE 802.11 b/g/n. The laptop is well equipped with the latest Adriano 540 GPU (Graphical Processing Unit). The display screen is basically 8.2 inch wide. The leading laptop manufacturing companies such as HP, Dell, and Lenovo has shown the interests in the ARM Processor. Basically the interest shown by these brands in the ARM processor will be leading to a great threat to the Intel and AMD.

Microsoft and QUALCOMM snapdragon ARM are almost working together for the development of the ARM processors. The New ARM based snapdragon 835 laptop consists of almost all Microsoft applications and including the windows also. The teaming up all these major companies will be creating a major problem for the Intel and AMD, mainly to the Intel as they are leading in the market today.

The ARM based snapdragon 835 is under the test condition now. Microsoft is doing the demonstration of various heavy programs on the ARM based snapdragon 835 laptop. The Microsoft has done the demonstration of Photoshop on the ARM based snapdragon 835 laptop. They basically are trying to remove the last defect which led to the flop of earlier design that was of incompatibility with the all applications. Microsoft is doing very hard to make ARM based snapdragon 835 laptop compatible with all kinds of heavy and light apps.
